How much do you charge?

After expenses we split the monthly bookings 80% to the owner and 20% to Short Stay Genie.

What do I have to do as the owner?

Once we get the place up and running you literally don’t have to do anything. We take care of absolutely everything for you. To get the property ready for short term letting we can also get involved to help you style and stage the property ready for 5 -star reviews. They key is to not spend a fortune on this, but still have your place looking 5-star.

What do I pay for and what do you pay for?

All property running’s is at the owners expense unless otherwise negotiated. Short Stay Genie will host and run everything for you to make sure it runs smoothly and gets maximum occupancy and nightly rate.

What expenses am I up for normally?

We would highly encourage the property to have Wi-Fi and Netflix as people really look for these features. This is a minimal cost for the extra bookings you will get. Also, cleaning and Linen costs will be the main costs each month. The good news is we charge our guests a cleaning cost, so it is not a cost to you. Other costs may be incidentals such as booking fees, topping up toilet paper, shampoo’s, soaps etc.

How much money can I make?

It all depends on your property. Is it 2 beds or 3? Does it have 1 bathroom or 2? Is it modern and new or old and run down? What location is it in? Does the building have a pool and gym in it? Does it have a car park? All of these things will have an impact. Most homeowners will get between 30% and 60% better return going short term than long term traditional renters. But some owners can get up to 100% better return and some are better off on the long-term rental market. Please enquire here as to what your property can potentially return on the short-term rental market.

How long will it take to set up?

If your property is pretty much good to go, then we can have it up and receiving bookings in under a week. If it needs to be furnished and staged, then it will be more like 2 weeks to be ready generally.

It would be great if one of our Short Stay Genie’s could see your property in person to really get an idea of what we are looking at. From there if it is a good fit for both parties, we will provide you with a management contract to sign and we will do our magic from there.
